KEYS TO IMPROVING HEALTH & FITNESS

New research from the National Women’s Health Resource Center (NWHRC) reveals that life-changing events, such as childbirth, significant weight loss or divorce inspire as many as 42% of women to improve their health, fitness, and physical appearance. Of the women motivated to improve their appearance after a life-changing event, nearly half (45%) said they would consider plastic surgery to do so. The study also challenges stigmas and stereotypes associated with plastic surgery, for more than half of the women surveyed (53%) said they are more accepting of breast augmentation surgery than they used to be. Women who have undergone breast augmentation surgery described themselves as confident (60%) and feminine (61%). For more information, visit healthywomen.org.
